北海道東川町では、世界的建築家 隈研吾氏とともに、世界中の若者を対象に、新しい家具のデザインコンペティションを実施しています。
第6回のテーマは「静かな家具」で、参加資格は学生で30歳以下の方です。締め切りは日本時間2026年9月30日正午です。応募作品の中から10作品を選定し、2027年３月に東川町にて開催予定の最終審査会を経て、受賞作品を選定する予定です。

≪ There's less than a month left until the application deadline! ≫

　Every year, the town of Higashikawa in Hokkaido, together with the world-renowned architect Kengo Kuma, hosts a furniture design competition for young people from all over the world.
The theme of the 6th competition is "Quiet furniture", and students aged 30 or under are eligible to participate. The deadline for entries is 12:00 noon (Japan Standard Time) on September 30, 2026. Ten works will be selected from among the entries, and the winning works will be determined after the final judging held in Higashikawa in March 2027. For more details, please visit our website.
