第６回「隈研吾＆東川町」KAGUデザインコンペ募集開始のお知らせ

北海道東川町では、世界的建築家 隈研吾氏とともに、世界中の若者を対象に、新しい家具のデザインコンペティションを実施しています。
第６回のテーマは「静かな家具」で、参加資格は学生で30歳以下の方です。締め切りは日本時間2026年９月30日正午です。今回は、学生の皆さまが活動しやすい夏休みを含めた期間としました。
応募作品の中から10作品を選定し、2027年３月に東川町にて最終審査会を経て、受賞作品を選定する予定です。

【The 6th "Kengo Kuma & Higashikawa" KAGU Design Competition is Now Open for Entries】
Higashikawa Town in Hokkaido, together with world-renowned architect Kengo Kuma, is holding a new furniture design competition for young people from all over the world.
The theme of the 6th competition is "Quiet Furniture" and students at the age of 30 or younger are eligible to participate. The deadline for entries is noon on September 30, 2026 Japan Standard Time. This time, we have adjusted the application period to include the summer vacation, making it easier for students to participate.
Ten works will be selected from among the entries, and the winning works will be selected after the final judging in Higashikawa in March 2027. For more details, please visit the following website. We look forward to receiving your many entries.
